Nipost headquarters in Abuja burnt by fire

The headquarters of the Nigerian Postal Service has been burnt by fire.


The fire incident, which happened on 19th May Wednesday 2020, affected the Staff Posting Unit at the Nipost’s building.

The Postmaster General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of Nipost, Ismail Adewusi, confirmed the incident.

Chief Executive Officer of Nipost, Ismail Adewusi assured Nigerians that the fire outbreak would not affect Nipost’s operations.

He said, “No cause for alarm over the fire that touched our Office of (Staff) Posting under the Personnel Unit. No damage to any vital document was recorded.

“Chief Executive Officer of Nipost, Ismail Adewusi said that the fire out break in Nipost caused no disruption to any of Nipost operations.

NIPOST, is a government-owned and operated corporation, is the Nigerian postal administration responsible for providing postal services in Nigeria.
