Mike Ejeagha Early Life

He finished his primary school training in 1948 preceding choosing to go into music.

Growing up, he had an Ogene bunch and during Christmas, they went round to play for individuals.

He began playing for the radio and creating melodic projects. He proceeded to shape a greater gathering known as Premier Dance Band.

His hit came in 1960-the year Nigeria got its freedom. A legends music, 'Ofu nwa anaa( the lone youngster is gone)' which was about a lone child who followed the dad to the homestead and was chomped by a snake and kicked the bucket. The following was 'Okuko kwaa uche echegbuo onye ugwo (when the rooster crows the borrower gets stressed)'. He calls his type of music-Akuko n'egwu and it is a slang among the Igbos to say Akuko n'egwu Mike Ejeagha to a narrator.
 
During the common conflict, they disbanded because of the conflict circumstance and he began another program with Radio Nigeria entitled Igbo Play. He left Enugu and moved over to Umuahia where he remained till the finish of the conflict meanwhile going round playing for warriors.

After the conflict, he recorded a collection 'Omekagu' with Polygram Records when it was called Phillips. The collection was a major success.Soon from that point onward, he was welcomed by the then Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), presently Enugu State Broadcasting Service ( ESBS) to have a program named Akuko n'egwu (narrating in music).

He has delivered a few collections and four singles. His collections incorporate - Onye Ndidi n'eli azu ukpo, Udegbunam, Nze bia k'anyi rie nni, Uwa mgbede ka mma, Ofor malu onye ji ya, gwogwom ngwo, Ife m fulu n'ime ofia and numerous others.

Ejeagha has offered more than 300 chronicles to the National Archives of Nigeria delivered during his field work to examine Igbo fables highlife music.

In 1963, he lost his first spouse. He re-wedded in 1966 and has 10 kids albeit one of them is dead.
