Stay In Your House, and If Possible, Sleep - Reverend Father Ugwu Kelvin
I know you want to go out to protest against Buhari. The theme this June 12 is: Buhari Must Go. You are planning to come out and match on the street. This is a very noble act to do. . . But please, this time around, stay in your house, and if possible, sleep.
It is not cowardice. It is not because you are scared. It is not because you don't know your right. But it is because the people you are after are cowards, and it is only wisdom that can put them in their right places. Don't give them the opportunity to enjoy their evil plan on your precious body. Please, stay in your house, and if possible, sleep.
Look, the government has said that there is no movement this June 12. You see where they are already going? If you are shot, the argument will not be about your human right to a peaceful protest, but it will be about their right to maintain order and they will tag you a hoodlum, a terrorist. Please, stay in your house, and if possible, sleep.
Let me tell you something, the major people you are fighting for are actually the ordinary police men and soldiers. They are being killed daily by bandits, bokoharam etc. . . But they are the same people that will be deployed to come shoot you at peaceful protests, and they won't blink an eye. So you see, they are not angry enough over what they suffer. Please, stay in your house, and if possible, sleep.
Let us say the truth, your protest cannot remove Buhari from Aso rock. That is not possible especially as we all don't have one voice. The people that can actually do something that will be very effective is the Senate and House of Representatives. But you see, those people are useless. . .very useless. We elected useless people. So, stay in your house, and if possible, sleep.
Talking about having one voice. . . the part of the country that is most affected by bandits and Bokoharam, the part that about 54 people were killed recently, if Buhari wants 3rd them, I can bet my left kidney, they will still vote him. So, while you are saying "Buhari must go", they will be saying "Buhari for Life". Please, stay at home, and if possible, sleep.
They know our style: come out to protest. . .Shout and shout. . .Post on social media. Then, they will pay some stupid boys to come disrupt the protest. And while that is happening, the soldiers and police will come out and start shooting under the guise of maintaining order. Then numbers will die, others will run. We will all come to social media to cry, then they will ban social media. Please, stay in your house, if possible sleep.
We have not really come up with better approach for this govt. Or maybe it is only the "dot people" that are crying more. Maybe there will be a solution, something that will involve everyone and will shake Nigeria. But as for June 12, please stay in your house, and if possible, enjoy your sleep.
