Liverpool defeated Tottenham 2-0 in the Champions League final on Saturday 1ST JUNE 2019,

Mohamed Salah put last season's final heartbreak behind him by setting up a 2-0 win over Tottenham in Madrid and a sixth Champions League triumph for Liverpool.



Egypt star Salah was infamously injured in a challenge with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos before the Reds subsided to a 3-1 defeat in Kiev 12 months ago but grabbed the opener in a largely forgettable contest at the Wanda Metropolitano.

That's it! Liverpool are the Champions League winners. What a season they have had and it is thoroughly deserved. 


For all their attacking threat, it's Liverpool's solidity that has won them the final. What a performance from Alisson and Virgil Van Dijk who were immense.

Jurgen Klopp, on the other hand, after losing six straight finals as a manager has reached the promised land. He helps Liverpool claim their sixth Champions League trophy.

For a season that was one of the most thrilling Champions League in recent times, the final failed to live up to that mark. But what a story Jurgen Klopp's team have scripted.

A streaker, later identified as Kinsey Wolanski, ran onto the field in the middle of the match. Wolanski was wearing a revealing one-piece that had "Vitaly Uncensored" printed on the front. She ran from behind the goal and made it to midfield before security at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium (Madrid, Spain) escorted her off the field. It did not tak.
